Quality and Eco-Credentials at a Gorgeous Cornish Hideaway

Posted on April 25, 2017 by Becca | 1 comment

Beautiful! We were blown away by these gorgeous photos from our clients Mark and Jane, who used our encaustic Pinky Patchwork, plus Modern Industrial Ghost in both plain and patterned throughout their fabulous honeymoon retreat in Mousehole, Cornwall.

A veritable Grand Design, in creating Fallen Angel derelict buildings were demolished and tons of rubble and earth were removed from the site by hand. Granite was re-cycled to create cladding and dry-stone walls in the landscaped garden, a bespoke wooden frame was constructed, insulated and clad in EPMD rubber and a unique stair-tunnel was built to take clients on a magical journey from living space to sleeping space. With Alhambra's Spanish tiles and an incredible kitchen built by Ben Williams, Fallen Angel rests in a beautiful sub-tropical garden, entered through the reclaimed door that previously was one of two doors at the entrance of a Moroccan village. Say the owners, "Quality and eco-credentials have been at the forefront of every decision, and just as in Grand Designs, yes, the budget was completely blown!"
