Clerkenwell Design Week - Sneak Peek!
With the help of Rob Lowe's top secret 'Super-Tile', our mission for CDW is to showcase all that is unique about Alhambra - from our fabulous bespoke capabilities to our handmade terracotta, handpainted art tiles, marble and cutting-edge patterned lattice bricks. We're making the investment because we are proud of the authenticity of our products and also their provenance and quality.
We're also launching a new mini-brochure featuring some of our favourite recent projects - and thought we'd share a few early photos with you!
The two above are brand new. At the top, our T49 in a super-bespoke colourway gives a simple pattern a life of its own. And below that, a brand new pattern for an architect in bonny Scotland went down a treat because, says the client, creating their own design was the only way of keeping everyone in the family happy!
We will be celebrating tiles that can be used outdoors, too, such as our beautiful handmade terracotta, shown above at the Eden Project in Cornwall and our authentic Granada handpainted tiles in relief, shown below.
Of course, terracotta is very on-trend now, and you can also create the look using our fabulous encaustic cement tiles, as this client did in her fabulous modern-industrial style kitchen, below.
Our favourite commercial clients will get a mention in the brochure, too - like the lovely Mr Levi Roots, who commissioned a brand-new green-colour in his Alhambra Tile to summon up memories of Jamaica!
We'll have physical examples of these designs - and more - on the stand, so please come and see us for a chat. Find us on Stand A5a in the Additions Pavilion
Of course, our absolute Piece de Resistance will be the tile designed for us by Supermundane - a tessellating pattern in his signature style which will fit together in a variety of ways. Top secret til the Opening Day! To keep you guessing here is a little teaser...

The room in the picture above features our very versatile Modern Industrial Blue Carpet tile used as a splashback by some imaginative clients! The first person to correctly tell us what connection this might have to Rob Lowe's Super-Tile, being launched on Day 1 of CDW will receive a free Super-Tile in a presentation box, signed by the artist.
