Valencia - the tiles of the Cabanyal

Posted on May 27, 2013 by Becca | 0 comments

Just back from another visit to Valencia, soaking up the style! We stayed on the beach this time, in the historic Cabanyal district. It's full of houses that look like the Wild West film sets from the outside, and massive marble palaces within!

Of course, I loved the tiles - many of the houses have a fabulous mismatch of styles decorating the exterior. I did ask where it might be possible to find some secondhand, but apparently it is forbidden to remove the tiles from the houses as they are protected. Quite right, too!

More photos to come...
